The First Two Months of the Year Have Given the Business Time to Improve its Operation

As a new business living for the first time the months after Christmas’s holiday season, Marrgon was at first shocked by the unpredictability and demand variation on their Golden Canary Rain Chains. Founders, Alejandro and Miguel, convinced that in every challenge lies a lesson to be learned, immediately took action and made some research in order to understand their position and be able to turn that situation into an opportunity. They realized the market have given them a time window and decided to focus their spare time on improving the business’s management and operation.

The first thing Alejandro did was to look for traffic data for their main rain chain’s keywords and what he discovered reinforced what both brothers previously thought. January and February are months that showed to have a low search volume for the particular Golden Canary’s items; therefore, resulting in low sales for the small business. In the other hand, from March and on there’s a sudden increase in demand for rain chains, reason that motivated founders to focus their attention on getting ready for that specific time by improving the products’ listings and working on new chain’s models they could release to the market.

Seeing now the opportunity that lies ahead, Alejandro and Miguel revised their objectives and are planning on hitting the 5,000 BSR (Best Seller Rank) range on Amazon with 3 of Golden Canary’s Copper Rain Chain designs. So far what it can be expected from Marrgon is a third release for May and many new changes on their existing items’ listings. Finally, the brothers would like to share this experience with people and remind them that in every obstacle, there’s an opportunity to improve.
