How Golden Canary Came to Be

Characterized by excellent customer support and service, the Golden Canary brand was born from Marrgon, a small family owned business founded by brothers Miguel Alejandro and Miguel Angel Lozano. The two young entrepreneurs (in their early twenties) decided to start Marrgon in May 2015 as an online business and as a part time job just to make some “extra bucks”; initially selling smartphone accessories and other miscellaneous products. They quickly realized that, among all the competition, one thing differentiated them, and that was excellent customer service.

This is when a passion to add value to people started to be born inside them; and what a better way to create that value than with a product that helps conserve the environment at the same time it enhances a home’s beauty? Complemented with the unique service they pride themselves on offering.

That’s how brothers Lozano came up with copper rain chains: a perfect way to replace boring downspouts with a lovely item that creates a pleasant visual and audible spectacle through water running down its shiny copper cups, directing it to a barrel or basin for collection and further reuse. A product that makes it entertaining and fun for people to address the water shortage issue even if they were initially just looking for outdoor decoration.

Taking into consideration the characteristics and features of the new found product and the premium service and customer support which they back it up with, Miguel Alejandro and Miguel Angel started the Golden Canary brand in November 2015. Canary being a resemblance of nature while Golden being related to the value the brothers believe they create for both: people and the environment.
